IATSO was founded formally on March 24th, 1998 in Caracas, Venezuela during the 5th International Conference on the Treatment of Sex Offenders. It is an international non-profit organization committed to the promotion of research of and treatment for sexual offenders throughout the world.

Goals and Objectives

!!NEW!! !!NEW!!

Please read this page carefully as it contains the terms and conditions of the agreement between you and the International Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders (IATSO – www.iatso.org).

All commitments between IATSO members and IATSO adhere to the statutes and by-laws of IATSO.

Registration and Start of Membership

We offer online registration for a IATSO 24h-membership through our website www.iatso.org.

Registration and login data are confirmed by an automatically generated email. After completing the registration process you will be asked to pay the 24h-membership fee by credit card. You will then receive an email invoice (if you do not receive an email please also check your junk folder). This membership will be activated upon receipt of the membership fee and is valid for 24 hours.

You are only able to receive a full IATSO membership by applying for it. This application must be approved by the IATSO board. A full membership is valid for the calendar year (January 1st to December 31st) and is renewed automatically if not cancelled by the member (see IATSO statutes and by-laws). The payment of the membership fee for the new year  must be done by January 31st.

Invoicing Procedure, Billing and Payment Methods

Membership fees and conference registration fees are collected based on the type of subscription selected. The membership fee and conference registration fee options are shown during the online registration process. You will receive an invoice by email. Payment must be made either online by providing us with your credit card information or by making a bank wire transfer to our bank account (payment must be free of any third party charges). The registration will be invalid and your account (login) will expire if IATSO does not receive payment of your membership fee within 60 days after the receipt of the invoice.

SSL is currently the preferred method to securely transfer credit card and other sensitive data over the Internet.

Conferences

If a conference has to be cancelled by the event organizer, only the paid conference fees will be refunded. IATSO does not refund any other expenses made in connection with the conference (i.e. flight tickets, hotel reservations,...). IATSO encourages the conference attendants to take out travel insurance.

For our cancellation policy regarding conferences, please see the conference registration form.
